New Zealand, 2003; Marcus Grönholm enjoyed a third victory after winning in 2000 and 2002. Richard Burns mounted the podium only just finishing second after a brave struggle with Petter Solberg. Peugeot achieved another double victory. When he took the lead of the rally at the end of the first special event and held on to it until the finish, Marcus Grönholm, once again, outclassed his opponents.
